Emergency Admission and Surgery, South Sudan

The patient developed severe pain in their abdomen while working on contract in Juba, South Sudan. We arranged immediate assessment at a trusted medical centre where acute appendicitis was diagnosed. Using our medical network we were able to arrange admission to a vetted, appropriate medical facility with laparoscopic surgical capability.

The patient underwent emergency surgery and was discharged safely home a few days later. Our follow home communication and assistance ensured she was adequately followed up with post-surgical care and well healed before closing the case.
