Medical Evacuation and Urgent Admission, Mali

The patient developed an acute infectious illness while working in Ménaka, Mali. Being a small, remote outpost no suitable medical care was available on site; there were also security considerations as the region is prone to violence at the hands of Islamic-State aligned groups.

Within 24 hours, Assist360 was able to arrange a private flight to transfer the patient to the capital, Bamako. Once in Bamako, we ensured the patient was received and seamlessly admitted to a level 3 medical facility where he could be treated appropriately. He made a full recovery and returned to work a few weeks later.
