Beyond Basic Care: A Traffic Accident in Afghanistan

In December 2023, a consultant was involved in a road traffic accident outside Kabul, Afghanistan. Capacity limitations at local facilities meant the patient was initially turned away, but Assist360 swiftly arranged an ambulance to bring her to a top-tier level 3 medical centre in Kabul. The patient sustained significant polytrauma with multiple fractures, requiring extensive intensive care. Over the following four weeks, she received comprehensive treatment within the hospital and completed a necessary rehabilitation programme.
