Repatriation of Mortal Remains, Nigeria

Assist360 recognises the importance of a swift, sensitive and thorough process with regards to repatriation of mortal remains. Through our local networks in Nigeria, Assist360 were able to carry out a successful repatriation of mortal remains from Dikwa, Nigeria, to the deceased’s hometown in Yobo State with a cost containment of $3,570 USD.

The original proposal for this repatriation by an external company was to move the body by air ambulance at a total cost of $4000 USD.

By utilising our local knowledge and networks we were able to do this via ground ambulance at a total cost of $430 USD. Assist360 maintained close communication with all stakeholders to ensure the family’s wishes were carried out. With our in-country team, we arranged correct documentation for transportation of the remains to the final destination.

We were in touch with the family throughout the process, ensuring that they were updated every step of the way during this difficult time.
